Asha a young elephant happily swims in the water to cool down. Elephants despite their big size and weight can swim with ease. Just before our photo for today was taken, Asha was completely submerged under water and came to surface for a breather.

'Suffering is something that we all understand and love is the language that heals all suffering. All of us have this gift to give to others through our eyes, our embrace and our words, through shared tears or a kind deed or prayer.' ~Ronan Scully

Suffering is something we are all very much aware of. It affects us all in different ways. It is something that none of us can avoid. But it is often misunderstood. Some see suffering as a test from God. This is never the case. Suffering is one of the many complexities that make up the mystery of life. At the heart of our belief system is a God who helps us through the many complexities of life. God is love and love is the greatest healer of them all when we face suffering of any kind.
